“Jo gives such constructive and considered feedback in her assessments, helping authors realise the potential of their manuscripts through her strong grasp of both the big picture and the finer details. I am so grateful for her thoughtful and professional assessment service, which helped me rework my manuscript into a state that was ready for submission. It has since been accepted for publication!”

I’m a freelance editor who loves helping fellow writing enthusiasts make their stories shine.
Whether you are working on your first or fiftieth work
I am passionate about story and love to help fellow enthusiasts develop their writing craft.
My particular editing interests include:
– Providing manuscript assessments, which include links and tips for developing the writing craft
– Copy editing everything from blog articles, short stories and business proposals to long form fiction and non- fiction
– Providing all the above to writers of children’s literature.
With regard to my writing, I earned a berth at the 2015 Hardcopy ACT’s Non-Fiction professional development program.
From this amazing opportunity, Jacinta di Mase agreed to represent my memoir “Behind the Calico Curtain” as well as my children’s picture book “Douglas”.
Works in progress include a middle grade series “Inventors’ Ink” and a young adult novel “BoomTown Blues”.
I have been a long-time reviewer with http://www.kids-bookreview.com, which receives an average of 50,000 visits per month.
I am also a committee member for SCBWI Victoria, which is a branch of the International Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
I achieved distinction in all subjects when I studied the Associate Degree in professional Writing and Editing.
